Product Description

ST‑13A Automatic Potentiometric Titrator Accurate Acid Value & Peroxide Value Analyzer for Food Testing

The ST‑13A automatic potentiometric titrator is engineered to comply with authoritative standards including GB 5009.229‑2016 (the second‑method cold‑solvent automatic potentiometric titration for food acid‑value testing) and GB 5009.227‑2023 for food peroxide‑value measurement.

This testing unit adopts potentiometric titration technology to auto‑recognize titration endpoints and compute test outputs. It performs acid‑content quantification for multiple food‑matrix samples. Acid value acts as a critical benchmark for evaluating edible‑oil quality. Built with imported components, its titration assembly is constructed from corrosion‑resistant materials, granting reliable measurement accuracy and extended operational lifespan.

Core Features & Technical Specifications

Supports general‑purpose microcomputer hardware with Windows 10 OS. User‑friendly human‑machine interaction delivers intuitive workflow navigation for effortless operation. Dedicated software features a Chinese‑language graphical interface; users can navigate via mouse and keyboard with straightforward interactive prompts.

Real‑time visualization for potential‑versus‑volume (E‑V) curves, first‑derivative (dE/dV) plots, electrode potential (E), titration volume (V), alongside computed titration outputs.

Full‑sequence titration‑data review plus robust data‑processing capabilities enable post‑result re‑analysis. Ample internal storage archives titration outcomes, raw datasets and trace curves. Test logs can be exported in Excel format for later reference and audit.

Auto‑generate hard copies of curves, final readings and full titration datasets via print output.

Multiple titration modes available: Dynamic Equivalence Point Titration (DET), Metrohm‑style Equivalence Point Titration (MET), Set‑endpoint Potentiometric Titration (SET).

Intelligent automatic‑endpoint judgment filters spurious false endpoints to stabilize test performance.

Automated workflow functions: auto‑cleaning, auto‑solvent refilling, auto‑volumetric dosing.

Reagents for Potentiometric Acid‑Value Test (Reagents to be prepared by end‑user)

Reagents

  • Isopropanol (C₃H₈O)
  • Low‑boiling aliphatic solvent blend (C₄H₁₀O equivalent)
  • Petroleum, boiling range: 30 ℃‑60 ℃

Reagent Preparation

0.1 mol/L potassium hydroxide standard titrating aqueous solution: prepare and standardize following GB/T601 requirements. Commercially standardized volumetric solutions are also acceptable.

Low‑boiling aliphatic solvent‑isopropanol mixed solution: blend equal volumes (500 mL each) of the aliphatic solvent blend and isopropanol. Prepare fresh right before use.

Reagents for Potentiometric Peroxide‑Value Test (End‑user prepared, excerpted from national standards)

9.1 Reagents

9.1.1 Glacial acetic acid 9.1.2 Isooctane 9.1.3 Potassium iodide 9.1.4 Redox standard titrating agent 9.1.5 Potassium dichromate: primary working standard substance

9.2 Reagent Preparation

9.2.1 Isooctane‑glacial acetic acid mixed solution (40+60): Combine 40 mL isooctane with 60 mL glacial acetic acid and mix thoroughly.

9.2.2 Saturated potassium iodide solution: Dissolve 20 g potassium iodide in 10 mL freshly boiled‑and‑cooled water. Store in an amber glass container under dark conditions. Ensure undissolved potassium iodide crystals remain in the vessel to maintain saturation. Pre‑use check: Add 0.5 mL saturated potassium iodide solution plus 2 drops of 1% starch indicator into 30 mL of the isooctane‑glacial acetic acid mixture (9.2.1). If blue color develops and requires more than one drop of 0.01 mol/L redox standard titrating agent for decolorization, discard and re‑make this stock solution.

9.3 Standard Solution Preparation

9.3.1 0.1 mol/L redox standard titrating agent stock solution: Dissolve 26 g main solute plus 0.2 g anhydrous sodium carbonate in 1000 mL water. Bring gently to boil for 10 minutes then cool down. Let it stand for two weeks, filter and perform standardization.

9.3.2 0.01 mol/L redox standard titrating agent working solution: Dilute stock solution (9.3.1) using freshly boiled‑and‑cooled water. Prepare immediately before testing.
