The SH6532 Crude Oil Salt Content Tester is designed and manufactured in compliance with Chinese national standard GB/T 6532 Standard Test Method for Salt Content of Crude Petroleum and Petroleum Products. It is applied to measure the total halide content (mass fraction: 0.002 %‑0.02 % m/m) in crude oil, reduced crude, cracked residue and fuel oil.
This instrument can also evaluate seawater contamination in turbine oil and marine fuel oil. It may be adopted for testing other sample types when the required test precision falls within the method’s applicable range.
This electrometric‑method crude oil salt content tester complies with ASTM D6470.

Main structure of instrument
⑴ extraction: flask and heating parts: 500ml; the heating part consists of electric heating wire wrapped around the lower end.
⑵ column drop funnel: used to add hot, absolute ethanol, other reagents and make quantitative separation.
⑶ condenser: condensing the distilled gas.
⑷ temperature control knob: used to heat the test solution requiring heating.
⑸ separator funnel piston: control piston of extracdischarge solution.
⑹ triangle bottle: grinding mouth triangle bottle, used to connect the solution released from the flask.
