SH102D Automatic Density Tester
The SH102D fully automatic constant temperature petroleum densitometer is suitable for measuring liquid density and relative density. This instrument measures liquid density based on the principle that the oscillation frequency differs when the double U-shaped tube is filled with different media. It complies with GB/T 2013-2010, GB/T 29617-2013, and ASTM D4052 standards.
After pumping the liquid to be tested into the resonant cylinder sensor, measurement data is processed by a microcontroller, providing fast, direct, and highly sensitive results. The system consists of a double tuning fork density sensor, vibrating tube circuit, temperature measurement circuit CPU, monitor, thermostatic bath, inlet pump, and control panel.
This liquid density meter can be widely used for measuring the density of various liquids. With different concentration conversion software, it can directly read the concentration value of corresponding liquids, such as alcohol. Through microcontroller software processing, volume concentration data can be directly read, making testing more convenient.

U-shaped Oscillating Tube Measurement Principle
The oscillation tube method measures substance density by inducing oscillations in a glass U-shaped tube using electromagnetic waves. The vibration frequency of the substance relates to its density, and the actual density is calculated by comparing the frequency difference between the measured substance and a reference standard substance. This method achieves high measurement accuracy.
Performance Characteristics
  • Constant Temperature Control: Liquid density is greatly affected by temperature, requiring conversion from real-time temperature to 20℃ density. This instrument uses constant temperature bath control, with sensor components and sample solution sealed inside. Temperature is detected by sensors and controlled by microcontroller cooling/heating, maintaining stable temperature within 20℃±0.1℃ range.
  • Direct Display: Directly displays liquid density value at 20℃ with temperature display. Sensor oscillation frequency is detected by microcontroller, calculating density using mathematical models of frequency-density relationship.
  • Automatic Sampling: Uses microcontroller to control stepper motor driving peristaltic pump for sample suction, improving automation level.
  • Acid and Alkali Resistant Pipelines: Pipelines contacting liquids are imported acid/alkali resistant, ensuring measurement of acid and alkali solutions.
  • Data Storage and Transmission: Built-in storage chip stores 80 detection data sets with recall/delete functions. Can connect to computer via 232 interface (customizable).
  • Calibration Function: Can be calibrated using 20℃ pure water as standard when instrument experiences drift from long-term non-use.
