How to measure polarization in the medical field?

The ST302 Pharmaceutical Polarimeter (with constant temperature) is a specialized instrument designed and manufactured in accordance with the new 2025 Chinese Pharmacopoeia 0621 Polarimetry Method, mainly used for determining the optical rotation of pharmaceuticals. Except as otherwise specified, the 2025 Chinese Pharmacopoeia 0621 Polarimetry Method uses the D-line (589.3nm) of the sodium spectrum for measurement, with a test tube length of 1dm (conversion should be done if other tube lengths are used) and a test temperature of 20℃.

Main features:

1. Uses a light-emitting diode with a service life of more than 20,000 hours as the light source instead of the previously used sodium lamp with short service life and easy damage, greatly eliminating the inconvenience caused by frequent replacement of sodium lamps.
2. Adopts photoelectric detection and microcomputer control technology, with a large-screen backlit LCD display for clear and intuitive data.
3. Can test optical rotation, specific rotation, concentration and sugar content.
4. Supports automatic re-test (1~6 times optional), and automatically calculates the average value and root mean square.
5. Uses traditional copper worm gear and counting disc technology, which will not cause missing characters during long-term use.
