The SD265C Petroleum Kinematic Viscometer (Heavy Oil Counterflow Method) is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the People's Republic of China industry standard SY/T5651 "Technical Conditions for Petroleum Products Kinematic Viscosity Testers". It is suitable for determining the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (referring to Newtonian liquids) at a constant temperature in accordance with the provisions of the People's Republic of China standard GB/T265 "Determination of Kinematic Viscosity of Petroleum Products and Calculation Method of Dynamic Viscosity".

The instrument features a hard glass cylinder with good thermal insulation performance for clear sample observation, a desktop integrated design for convenient use (capable of conducting 2 sets of experiments simultaneously), an electric stirring device to ensure uniform temperature in the bath, and a small blue LCD display for good temperature control stability. Its key technical parameters include: an AC 220V±10% 50Hz power supply, 1800W temperature-controlled heating power, a 6W stirring motor with 1200r/min speed, a temperature measurement range of room temperature ±10℃ to 100℃, a temperature control accuracy of ±0.1℃, and it uses a high-precision resistor as the temperature sensor.

The selection of the capillary viscometer tube (conforming to GB 11137-89 Cannon-Fenske opaque viscometer specifications) is based on the kinematic viscosity range of the sample, following the corresponding relationship between the viscometer size number, kinematic viscosity range and capillary inner diameter:

Basic Operation Preparation and Method

1. Preparation of Instruments and Materials: Before use, confirm the completeness of the instrument according to the packing list (including 1 host, 1 water bath, 2 capillary racks, 1 thermometer, 1 power cord, 1 10A fuse tube, 4 capillary viscometers, etc.). Additionally, self-prepare heating medium and a stopwatch as required.
2. Sample Determination: The method outline is to determine the kinematic viscosity of dark petroleum products by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of liquid to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer (counterflow viscometer) under gravity. The dynamic viscosity of the liquid can be obtained by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by its density.
3. Post-use Guarantee: The instrument has a one-year overall quality guarantee period (excluding normal wear of fragile 
parts). During the guarantee period, the manufacturer (Shandong Shengtai Instrument Co., Ltd.) provides free maintenance for quality problems; for faults caused by the user's responsibility, maintenance is provided with reasonable charges. The manufacturer also offers preferential supply of spare parts for life and lifelong maintenance of the whole machine; after the guarantee period, only cost fees are charged for maintenance and technical services.
