SD6540 Chroma Tester for Petroleum Products

The color of petroleum products is an important indicator for measuring their appearance quality. Different color numbers correspond to the purity, oxidation degree and other characteristics of the product. For example, a too high color number of lubricating oil may indicate oxidation deterioration or excessive impurity content. The chromaticity determination of petroleum products needs to be carried out by comparing with standard color plates through dedicated instruments to accurately determine the color number, providing a basis for product quality control.

The SD6540 petroleum product colorimeter adopts an observation eyepiece composed of concave and convex lenses, which can simultaneously present two semi-circular colors. It is equipped with an optical eyepiece with light adjustment and focusing capabilities, making operation convenient. The instrument is designed in accordance with SH/T0168-92 "Determination of Color of Petroleum Products" and GB/T6540 standards. It can determine the color of lubricating oil and other petroleum products and chemical products. The color codes correspond to ASTM D1500, GB/T6540 and ISO color codes. The light source is a 220V, 100W bulb with an inner frosted milk shell and a temperature of 2750±50K. It is equipped with a colorimetric tube with an inner diameter of Φ32mm and a height of 120 to 130mm, as well as a standard color disk with 26 light holes (25 for standard glass plates of 1-25 color numbers and 1 blank).
